JJN moderates TTIP Dialogue in Sweden

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Agreement (TTIP) is currently being negotiated between the European Union and the United States. To engage actors from all parts of the society in a constructive and open dialogue about trade and TTIP, the Swedish Trade Union Confederation LO, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a high-level dialogue.

Moderating the event was Sabina Dewan, President and Executive Director of JustJobs Network. United States Trade Representative Michael Froman, European Commissioner of Trade Cecilia Malmstrom and Swedish Minister of EU and Trade Ann Linde were among the distinguished guests attending the dialogue. Main topics of discussion included how TTIP could affect market access for companies, TTIP’s relationship to job creation, and how TTIP would work towards a more sustainable world from a social and environmental standpoint.
