This brief offers a gender perspective into the study of impact of digital transformations, in the form of artificial intelligence and automation, on labour force participation and skilling ecosystems of Middle East and North Africa region.

This report reviews the kind of education and skills required in the MENA region’s digital economy, examines the existing skilling systems and relevant policies and strategies in three MENA case countries (Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates), and finally explores the extent to which these policies and strategies are gender inclusive.
